Trophy Signature Homes has partnered with Texas-based nonprofit Operation FINALLY HOME and MA Partners to build a brand-new home for a deserving Army veteran and his family. U.S. Army Specialist John Endsley, his wife, and their five children will soon be the proud owners of a mortgage-free, personalized modern home in the Royse City community of Parkside Village. 

The Endsley Family 

Specialist Endsley joined the military in 2004 and served for three years, including a combat deployment in Iraq, until his honorable discharge in 2007. During and following his service, he was recognized with numerous awards including the Army Commendation Meal, two Army Achievement Medals, an Army Good Conduct Medal, and more. 

Specialist Endsley, like many other veterans, suffers from physical and mental ailments as a result of his service. Hearing loss, chronic abdominal pain, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Gulf War Syndrome all have an impact on his daily life. After the fearless sacrifices he made for the country, he now devotes his time to others. Spending time with his large family is the main priority, but he also volunteers his time with a local nonprofit that provides canes to veterans in need when Veterans Affairs Medical Centers cannot fulfill the requests. 

Home Signing Event 

To add an extra special touch to their future home, Trophy Signature Homes, MA Partners, and Operation FINALLY HOME hosted a unique event in the Parkside Village community. We invited employees, city council members, trades, and vendors to write a few “notes of love” at the site of the Endsley family’s home. Event participants walked through the home at the end of the framing process—which is when projects really begin to take shape—and wrote words of inspiration and encouragement on the fire-rated lumber. 

After the event, the Endsley family was able to tour their new home and take in the kind words written by friends and the team who is building their new home. Although the words will be covered up by drywall, the thoughts and well-wishes will last a lifetime—truly adding to the strong foundation a quality-built home provides a family like Specialist Endsley.
