What makes a High-Efficiency Home?
1. Smart thermostat
ClareOne home automation systems gives homeowners digital control over many aspects of their house—including their smart thermostat. Homeowners can use their state-of-the-art smart thermostat to adjust the temperature inside their home from anywhere, track their energy usage and even set a smart schedule to help minimize energy costs while keeping the family comfortable.
2. Tankless water heaters
Traditional water heaters work continuously, driving up their energy consumption even when not in use. Tankless water heaters are designed to only heat exactly as much water as needed, exactly when it’s needed. This system allows the units to last longer and use less energy, all while providing endless hot water.
3. Efficient HVAC systems
14 SEER HVAC systems have been the standard for years, but Trophy Signature Homes goes a step further by including 16 SEER units. These systems are up to 13 percent more efficient than their 14 SEER counterparts, saving homeowners hundreds of dollars over the lifetime of the system.
4. Spray foam insulation
Creating an air-tight seal with spray foam insulation greatly contributes to the energy efficiency of your Trophy Signature Home. It creates a building envelope to keep cold air out during the winter and warm air out during the summer. When your heat or air conditioner is on, it won’t escape through space around your windows, roof or doors—meaning your HVAC will run more efficiently and save you an average of 20 percent or more on energy costs per year.
5. Ventilation
Our ventilation systems are made more efficient as a result of spray foam insulation and temperature-controlled air, as well as an inline fine that uses one-tenth the amount of energy compared to conventional mechanical ventilation systems.
6. Energy-efficient appliances
Stainless steel appliances are included in your home not only to elevate the look of your kitchen, but they also work hard behind the scenes to conserve energy and water. These energy-efficient appliances help reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions, minimizing your carbon footprint and creating a healthier environment for future generations.
7. Low-E windows
Double-paned glass with a thin area of separation allows space for an insulating gas between them. Low emittance (low-E) non-toxic coating is also applied to the window glass—blocking infrared light from the outside while still providing extensive natural light.
8. LED lighting
Trophy Signature Homes includes LED lighting throughout our homes. LED lights use up to 75 percent less energy than incandescent lighting and can last up to 25 times longer.
